THEME: NOTHING CAN COMPARE WITH THE GLORIES OF HEAVEN

Greetings beloved people of God. I welcome you to "My Catholic Homily Digest". As we celebrate the dedication of the Basilica of St. Peter and Paul, I want to reflect with us on the theme " Nothing can Compare with the Glories of Heaven". I have often asked myself, what is in this heaven that makes it a place worth going, what kind of pleasure, enjoyment or glory should we expect? If it is nice food, we will certainly get filled and tired of it, if it is material pleasures, we shall grow weary of it with time. Then what? Hear me, it is the ever consoling and glorious presence of God, which will saturate the atmosphere. giving an eternal ecstatic feeling of worship to the soul.

Beloved, how do you feel each time you enter a Church, especially the solemn ones, where the Blessed Sacrament is exposed? Do you not have a feeling of inner peace, joy and happiness, do you not feel like remaining in such tranquil atmosphere a little longer like St. Peter did at the mount of transfiguration (Cf. Mark 9:5). The splendour of the Basilica of Ss. Peter and Paul, a place of transformational encounter  which we celebrate today, gives us a miniature glimpse of the glorious and consoling atmosphere of Heaven, where endless Alleluia to God resounds eternally.

Child of God, in as much as we are all heading to Heaven, a place of bliss, let us not be too anxious of it that we lose focus on the things that really matters. Let us make judicious use of the time and talents which God has given to us on earth, let us trade with them and make more profit so that when the master comes, he may say to us: "Well done, my good servant, since you have proved yourself faithful in a very small thing, you shall be the choirmaster of a legion of angels in my Heavenly Kingdom. God bless you

#End Sars,

#End Political Oppression

#End Bad Governance.

Oh that today you would listen to his voice harden not your hearts (Ps.95:7-8).

LET US PRAY : Lord Jesus, all I want is to spend my entire life doing your biddings, help me not miss my rightful place among the Heavenly angels who sing your praises eternally.....Amen

HAPPY MIDWEEK MY BELOVED FRIENDS
